The milestone of 100,000 kilometers has ceased to be a "point of no return" for Chinese cars. After overcoming this distance, modern models continue to perform their functions properly without the need for capital investments. This was stated by Andrey Kogan, founder of the All-China company, Chairman of the Committee for Work with China of the Association of Exporters and Importers.

"Cars from China have proven that they can be long-lasting companions, while offering a level of comfort and equipment that is often unavailable to competitors for the same money. These are no longer "disposable gadgets", but full—fledged, resource-efficient cars ready to serve their owner for many years and hundreds of thousands of kilometers, while maintaining gloss and technical vigor," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Kogan as saying on April 13.

The specialist recalled that a few years ago, skeptics predicted a rapid technical decline for modern models from China immediately after the end of the warranty. However, in reality, the mass operation of cars from brands such as Geely, Haval, Chery, Exeed, Lixiang, Zeekr and others demonstrates that for the Chinese new wave automotive industry, a mileage of 100,000 km has become "not a critical threshold for survival, but an ordinary stage of maturity."

This was achieved thanks to large investments in production culture and the purchase of technologies from the world's leading suppliers, the expert said. As a result, a modern Chinese car at the turn of 100,000 km looks and feels fundamentally different from its predecessors five years ago, Kogan noted. One of the most noticeable changes was the quality of bodywork. In addition, the internal combustion engines are the fruit of a joint development with European engineering giants or a direct legacy of purchased Western brands, higher-quality and durable materials are used in the interiors, the electronic "stuffing" has become more stable, and the suspension life has become higher.

Earlier, on April 6, the expert said that the pace at which Chinese automakers are launching new models is much higher than that of European, Japanese or American car companies. One of the reasons is that the Chinese market is competitive and overheated. What traditional car companies take four to five years to do, China can do in two to three years.
