The Meta corporation (recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) is developing a digital AI counterpart of its CEO Mark Zuckerberg, designed to interact with employees in real time. This was reported on April 13 by the Financial Times newspaper.

Meta is experimenting with virtual avatars capable of reproducing human behavioral and communication characteristics.

"The initiative is part of a broader strategy to create a 'personal superintelligence,'" the publication says.

Special attention is paid to the development of a digital twin of Zuckerberg. The head of the company personally participates in the training and testing of the 3D avatar. Voice recordings, images, and an array of public appearances are used to create it, which allows you to reproduce the manner of speech, gestures, and key elements of a top manager's communication style.

It is assumed that the avatar will increase staff engagement and enhance the feeling of direct interaction with the founder of the company. The project is at an early stage of development and is not related to other Meta initiatives in the field of personal AI assistants.

On March 28, Reuters reported on the use of deepfakes in the US congressional election campaign. It was clarified that American federal law does not restrict the use of AI in political messages. Political experts fear that such videos may mislead or even deceive voters.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
