- Izvestia showed footage of a helicopter hangar and a control tower on Kharq Island.
The special correspondent of Izvestia News Center, Nasser Ashkeri, was the first of the journalists to capture unique footage of a helicopter hangar and a control tower destroyed as a result of the US bombing on Kharq Island.
In addition, the Izvestia journalist visited the inside of the Khark Island power plant, showed the houses of local residents and oil workers, and interviewed a spokesman for the island administration.
Nasser Ashkeri was also able to capture the loading of oil tankers, the peaceful life of the island and the unique relic of Kharka — a stone from the depths of the Persian Gulf with an inscription from the time of the Achaemenid dynasty.
In conditions of increased danger and limited access for foreign media, the Izvestia special correspondent became the first and only journalist among the world's media to work on Kharq Island after the outbreak of the conflict between the United States and Iran.
Earlier, Izvestia reported that the journalist of the publication managed to prepare video reports from one of Iran's key strategic sites, Kharq Island. The Special Correspondent came close to the "forbidden island", which is forbidden to ordinary people, as it has enormous strategic importance. Kharq is Iran's main oil hub, through which about 80% of all Iranian crude oil exports pass. This is where oil is loaded onto tankers that then pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Nasser Ashkeri managed to capture one of the island's oil loading terminals and military hangars, as well as communicate with local residents who spoke about life after the truce and shared their opinions on the events.
In addition, Izvestia has released exclusive material directly from the war zone in the Dalem region, Bushehr province. The special correspondent of the publication has prepared a video from the scene of the US operation to rescue downed American pilots in Iran. The correspondent not only visited the combat zone, but also received unique footage of the fighting between Iranian forces and American helicopters. Nasser Ashkeri also managed to get exclusive comments from the Iranian military and militias.
