There is a growing dissatisfaction in Israeli society with the results of the military campaign against Iran. On April 13, Bloomberg reported, citing a study by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, that the majority of citizens are skeptical about the effectiveness of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

According to the survey, less than 40% of respondents expressed willingness to support a joint military operation with the United States if they knew in advance the scenario of its development.

"More than 77% do not believe that Iran or its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah have been seriously weakened by almost six weeks of fighting, and the same number believe that they will eventually pose the same threat as before," the article says.

In addition, two-thirds of citizens oppose the truce with Iran, which was previously announced by US President Donald Trump with the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The study was conducted from April 9 to April 10, before the start of the round of negotiations in Islamabad.

On April 9, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Israeli authorities were unhappy not only with the decision to cease fire between the United States and Iran, but also with the fact that Tel Aviv was confronted with the fact of a truce. At the same time, the source of the publication clarified that Netanyahu gave his consent to Trump to participate in the peace agreement, but he was extremely unhappy with the possible extension of the truce to Lebanon, since Tel Aviv pursues different goals in conflicts with Tehran and Beirut.
