The musical "Don't be afraid of anything, I'm with you" returned to the stage of the MDM Theater. The ovation after the first screening of the renewed "Don't be Afraid of Anything, I'm with you" confirmed the indisputable status of the most popular musical in the history of Russia. The first viewers of the iconic production were journalists, bloggers and star guests, including Alexey Murashov, Irina Bezrukova, Stasia Miloslavskaya, Alexey Zhidkovsky, Taisiya Vilkova, Kuzma Saprykin, Dmitry Iskhakov, Elena Borshcheva and many others.

The return of the main super hit of the Broadway Moscow theater company, created jointly by partners, has become one of the most anticipated events of the season. During the final act, the guests got up from their seats, turned on the flashlights of their mobile phones and turned the hall into a huge starry sky.

From 2022 to 2024, the play remained at the top of the country's theatrical events: in two seasons of daily sales, it was watched by almost 1 million 200 thousand viewers. The production entered the Russian Book of Records as the musical of daily distribution with the largest number of viewers, and its fees exceeded 3.4 billion rubles.

After the end of the rental, the producers received tens of thousands of requests for the return of the production, both from loyal fans and from those who did not have time to see the play, but had heard a lot about it.

The original jukebox musical (a musical based on popular musical material) was created by a team of leading theater, film and television professionals — playwright Sergei Kaluzhanov, his co-author, director Mikhail Mironov, author of arrangements Evgeny Zagot, production designer Maxim Obrezkov, choreographer Irina Kashuba under the direction of producer Dmitry Bogachev.

The events of "Don't be afraid of anything, I'm with you" unfold in the 1980s - the era of bold dreamers, high hopes and faith in imminent change. This is a story about love, friendship, and a choice that determines fate: follow expectations or stay true to yourself. The recognizable beloved Petersburg comes to life on stage with its romantic roofs, courtyards, wells, drawbridges and Nevsky Prospekt, over which the famous trolleybus with the number "1983" soars into the starry sky - as a symbol of the fact that true love is not subject to gravity. The legendary hits of the Secret group performed by the heroes of the musical once again sound like the voice of fearless youth.

"It was important for us not only to return the play to the way it was remembered, but to give it a new lease of life," said director Mikhail Mironov. — We have delicately reworked individual scenes, enhanced the choreography in some places, added nuances to the drama. At the same time, we carefully preserved everything that we loved about him – the atmosphere, the music, the energy. I think the audience feels it: it's a familiar story, but told in a slightly new way, more accurately and richly."
