In the first quarter of this year, the number of tenders for the purchase of cars for civil servants decreased by 26% in units and by 19% in money compared to the same period last year. This was reported on April 13 by Vedomosti with reference to data from the Tenderplan search and analytical system.

The total number of tenders amounted to 1,347, the total amount was 6.99 billion rubles.

Government purchases of Lada cars decreased the most — by 32% year-on-year in units and by 42% in money. In the first quarter, 464 tenders were held for the purchase of AVTOVAZ products worth 1.1 billion rubles. The publication also drew attention to a decrease in the number of purchases of UAZ cars by 34% (191 tenders), and the total amount by 44% (549.2 million rubles).

There are fewer and fewer opportunities for business entities to upgrade their fleets against the background of an increase in the cost of equipment, the note says.

The list of Russian-built cars recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for priority use by civil servants includes Lada, Moskvich, UAZ, Sollers, Evolute, Haval and others.

Earlier on this day, it was reported that following the results of the 15th week of this year, 24.9 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Russia, which is 20% less than a week earlier. However, compared to the same week last year, sales increased by 28%.
