According to the expert, the search for housing often comes down to a choice between a hotel and an apartment, but these formats solve different tasks. However, regardless of the type of placement, it is important to consider several basic factors.

First of all, Ostroverkhy recommended paying attention to the rating and reviews. It is important to take into account not only the ratings, but also the reaction of the representatives of the facility to the comments of the guests. Location is of particular importance.

"Formulations like "10 minutes to the center" or "5 minutes by car" give a general idea, but do not take into account the actual traffic, transfers and route features. Therefore, it is useful to check in advance on the maps yourself how long it will take to get to the city center, what public transport is in the area, whether there are convenient entrances for taxis or personal cars," Ostrowerhiy said.

The apartments, as explained by the specialist, are suitable for long trips, family or company trips. In particular, it is important to know in advance about the key collection, the availability of linen, living conditions and parking. It is also worth considering the area and layout of the housing, and possible restrictions in historical buildings, such as the lack of an elevator.

Hotels, in turn, take on most of the household issues due to the service. When choosing them, the expert advises to clarify the conditions of settlement, especially in small facilities, as well as to focus on fresh reviews and photos.

"Special attention should be paid to services. A swimming pool, gym or spa can operate on a schedule, and it is important to take this into account for short trips when time is limited," he concluded.

A study of the OneTwoTrip online service on April 10 revealed that Veliky Novgorod and Kazan have the most conveniently located hotels. It was clarified that the experts compiled a rating based on the analysis of about 12 thousand reviews for 2 thousand hotels in the 100 most popular cities of the country among travelers. In the "Best location" category, experts assessed the proportion of reviews in which guests noted proximity to the center or green areas, transport accessibility, parking and views from the windows.
