The weather forecaster spoke about the changeable weather in Moscow this week

The weather in Moscow in the coming week will be warm, but unstable — with short-term rains, increased winds and temperatures above the climatic norm. This was reported to Izvestia on April 13 by Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.

"It's sunny and warm today, but tomorrow the character will change. In the coming days, the weather will be affected by the occlusion front from the southern cyclone. Short-term rains are expected in Moscow on Tuesday, thunderstorms are possible, as well as an increase in the north-easterly wind with gusts up to 12-14 m/s. At night, the temperature will remain at +4...+ 6 degrees, during the day — about +10 ... + 12.", — said the forecaster.

Cloudy weather is forecast in the capital region on Wednesday, April 15, with occasional showers. The temperature at night will be +3...+5 degrees in Moscow, and in the afternoon it will rise to +15 degrees, Pozdnyakova said.

According to her, in the middle of the week, on April 16 and 17, weather conditions are expected to improve due to the area of increased atmospheric pressure. Precipitation will stop, and the air temperature at night will stay within +3...+8 degrees, during the day — +12 ...+17.

However, by the end of the week, the weather will become less stable again. So, on April 18, short-term rains are possible in the capital due to the influence of the southern cyclone. At the same time, the temperature background will remain elevated — up to +15... +16 degrees during the day.

Pozdnyakova stressed that throughout the week the air temperature will exceed the climatic norm by an average of 1.5–2.5 degrees.

Climatic form: snow and ice will fall on Central Russia

Warmth will return to the capital and a number of other regions closer to Easter.

The summer of 2026 may be abnormally hot in some regions of Russia. Forecasters predict that in June the average values will exceed the climatic norm. Also in July, higher temperatures are expected in the east of Russia. However, it may be colder in Primorye and Sakhalin than last year.
