S7 Airlines (Siberia) was fined 45 thousand rubles for overbooking. This was announced on April 13 by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"At the initiative of the transport prosecutor, the airline was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of Article 14.4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services in violation of the requirements established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, committed repeatedly"),
with the imposition of a fine in the total amount of 45 thousand rubles," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

It is specified that during 2025, the airline refused to carry out air transportation due to an excess number of check-ins for 13 passengers traveling from Novosibirsk to Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude and Krasnoyarsk.

On January 13, Eduard Shalonosov, a lawyer in the field of tourism, told how to get compensation from the airline for the loss of luggage. He stressed that if luggage is lost, there are three possible compensation options: a fixed payment of up to 600 rubles per 1 kg, insurance compensation or compensation for actual expenses.
