A man posing as a lost soldier was convicted in the Khabarovsk Territory.

The Sovetsko-Gavansky City Court of the Khabarovsk Territory sentenced a man who posed as missing soldiers of the SVO to six years and 10 months in prison. This was reported on April 13 in the regional press service of the courts.

"He was found guilty under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (eight episodes). 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation imposed a sentence of imprisonment for a period of six years and 10 months. In accordance with Article 70 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, by partially attaching the unserved part of the sentence under the previous sentence, seven years of imprisonment were finally imposed to be served in a special—regime penal colony," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

According to the information from the message, from 2023 to 2024, while serving his sentence in a correctional colony, a man found publications on social networks about the search for missing members of his military. It is specified that the man changed his voice, contacted relatives and posed as a missing person, after which he asked to transfer money for the treatment of the "injury".

It is specified that four people suffered from this scheme, their financial damage is estimated at 1 million 334 thousand rubles, two of them managed to achieve full reimbursement of funds in the amount of 345 thousand rubles. It also became known about three episodes when the victims refused to transfer money.

It is emphasized that four citizens were awarded partial compensation for losses in the amount of 930 thousand, but the contract has not yet entered into force.

On April 12, a court in North Ossetia arrested the owner of commercial premises and the organizers of the production of pyrotechnics at a warehouse in Vladikavkaz, where the explosion occurred.
