Australia calls for the early resumption of negotiations between the American and Iranian sides. This was announced on April 13 by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the 9News TV channel.

"For our part, we advocate the resumption of negotiations and want to see an end to the loss of life and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in the Middle East," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, Albanese noted that Canberra hopes for an early recovery in trade. According to him, the current situation is already having a serious impact on the global economy and affects not only Australia, but also other countries.

He stressed that the conflict is increasing inflationary pressures on a global scale, expressing hope for an early resolution of the crisis and balanced decisions, taking into account the consequences.

On April 12, Dean Long, a professor at the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at Shanghai University of Foreign Languages, expressed the opinion that a settlement of the conflict between Iran and the United States in one round of negotiations is impossible due to deep contradictions that have accumulated over decades.

The Financial Times (FT) newspaper reported that on April 7, the UK held a meeting of military experts from 40 countries to discuss options for ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz after the end of hostilities. Initially, the initiative was supported by the leaders of Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Japan. Later, more than 30 more countries joined them, including Australia, Bahrain, the Dominican Republic, Canada, New Zealand, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea.
