For a healthy diet, you do not need to buy expensive fitness food, as a competent and balanced diet can be made up of the most common products. This was announced on April 12 by Yuri Brabechan, a nutritionist coach at Lapino Fitness Country Club.

"The myth that healthy eating is expensive works great for selling protein bars for 300 rubles and bags of chia seeds for the price of jewelry. In practice, a full—fledged diet is made from the most common products that are available in any economy class store," the expert said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

Brabechan attributed eggs, chicken, buckwheat, cabbage, carrots and apples to the first selection of basic products. He recommended eating oatmeal with milk, boiled eggs and an apple for breakfast, buckwheat for lunch, stewed chicken drumstick or thigh, and cabbage and carrot salad seasoned with sunflower oil. As a snack, according to the expert, you can use black bread crackers and kefir, and you can have dinner with stewed cabbage and chicken. Brabechan also recommends adding beans, cottage cheese and bread to the diet.

The second selection, as the nutritionist said, is suitable for those who want more variety. The expert noted that in the morning you can eat an omelet of two eggs with onions and carrots and tea without sugar, have lunch with steamed or brown rice, stewed beans with tomatoes and vegetables. For a snack, you can eat cottage cheese, which does not exceed 9% fat content, which can be supplemented with raisins or a banana. For dinner, the coach recommended eating a vegetable mixture with egg and whole grain bread.

"The third selection is for those who are ready to use offal. In the morning, millet or pearl barley porridge in water with a small piece of butter, whole apple or carrot. For lunch, stewed chicken hearts or liver with onions and carrots, pearl barley or buckwheat and sauerkraut <...>. Snack in the form of kefir or natural yogurt without sugar. In the evening, a vegetable stew of cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions, accompanied by a portion of offal from lunch or a couple of eggs," added Brabechan.

Ekaterina Kashukh, a gastroenterologist and expert at the Hemotest laboratory, said on April 12 that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) have no proven harm to human health. She also added that from the point of view of evidence-based medicine, convincing data on the harm of such products has not yet been received. At the same time, the specialist pointed out that it was also premature to speak unequivocally about complete safety.
