In honor of Cosmonautics Day and the end of the first Space Week in Russia, on April 12, the SU1710 Moscow – Khabarovsk "space" flight was performed on a Boeing 777 airliner named after the founder of practical cosmonautics, Sergei Pavlovich Korolev. This was reported in the press service of the Roscosmos state Corporation.

The passengers of this flight in Khabarovsk were greeted with a musical surprise by the choir of the Moscow Conservatory under the direction of Alexander Solovyov.

It is clarified that Khabarovsk was not chosen as the place of arrival by chance. According to legend, when cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin flew over the Khabarovsk Territory on April 12, 1961, he heard music on the radio.

On April 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the space potential of the Russian Federation is working more actively for the economy, security and sovereignty of the country. He stressed that Russia is proud of the fact that it was Yuri Gagarin who 65 years ago realized humanity's bold dream of conquering the universe and paved the way for people to the stars. The Russian leader also congratulated all Russians on Cosmonautics Day.

Prior to that, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian space industry continues to strengthen its leading position in the world by consistently implementing its strategic projects. He added that industry workers solve complex tasks every day, introduce modern technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) systems, and also make an invaluable contribution to the development of the country's rocket and space industry.
