The ship Hui Yuan, detained by Sweden, which was sailing under the flag of Panama from Russia to the Spanish city of Las Palmas, was allowed to leave the country. This was reported on April 12 on the website of the Swedish Coast Guard press service.

"The captain of the bulk carrier confessed to the crime, the ship is allowed to leave Sweden," the publication says.

It is specified that the captain of the vessel also admitted a violation of the environmental code.

This is not the first attack on fuel vessels near the Turkish coast.

On April 12, the Russian Embassy in Stockholm reported that there were no Russian citizens among the crew of the vessel that was detained by the Swedish Coast Guard in the Baltic Sea. On the same day, SVT reported that the Swedish Coast Guard had conducted an inspection of the cargo ship Hui Yuan.
