A 600 kg cake was baked in Crimea for Easter
On Easter Day, a 600 kg cake was baked in Bakhchisarai. This was reported on April 12 in the Telegram channel of the Bakhchisarai Miniature Park.
"On Bright Sunday of Christ, a real culinary feat took place in the Bakhchisarai Miniature Park today — guests and residents of the peninsula were treated to a giant miracle cake. The giant's weight was 600 kg, and its diameter was 3.5 m," Viktor Zhilenko, the park's director, is quoted as saying.
To create such a treat, the confectioners needed five bags of flour, ten bags of sugar, exactly one thousand eggs and 15 kg of raisins. The festive cake was decorated with 53 gingerbread cookies depicting the sights of the Crimea.
On April 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated all Orthodox Christians and citizens of Russia on the Holy Easter holiday. The Head of State noted the enormous creative role of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations in preserving historical and cultural heritage, as well as in strengthening the institution of the family and educating young people.
