Peskov urged Britain to get used to price hikes due to the actions of Putin and Trump
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on April 12 urged the UK to get used to rising energy bills caused by the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
"Yes, indeed, the actions of both Putin and Trump can lead to energy bills jumping in Britain," Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist at the Vesti news agency.
Earlier, Peskov said that it has always been beneficial for European countries to use Russia as an imaginary enemy. He noted that Russia, being a large Eurasian country, has always frightened many Europeans with its size and power.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin said on March 27 that Russia's relations with European countries were in crisis, and it was not Moscow's fault. Putin also stressed that the Russian side has never refused to restore relations with European countries.
