FC Sochi defeated CSKA in the match of the 24th round of the Russian Premier League

The Sochi football players beat CSKA Moscow 1-0 on the road in the match of the 24th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting was held in the capital on April 12.

The only goal was scored in the 11th minute, when Martin Kramaric converted a penalty. Vladislav Torop defended the gates of the army. The players of both teams, as well as the referees, took to the field in special T-shirts as part of a campaign by the Russian Football Union in support of flood-affected residents of Dagestan.

Sochi broke a streak of six consecutive defeats in the RPL, as well as a winless streak that lasted ten matches — nine defeats and one draw. The last time Sochi had won the championship was on October 27, 2025, beating Akhmat (4:2). CSKA, in turn, broke a three-match winning streak in all tournaments.

The Army team occupies the fifth place in the standings with 42 points. Sochi closes the table in 16th place with 12 points. In the next round, CSKA will play away against Samara Krylia Sovetov on April 18. A day earlier, Sochi will face Rostov on a visit.
