US President's Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi almost clashed during talks in Pakistan. This was announced on April 12 by the journalist of the Turkish newspaper Haberturk Cetiner Cetin.
According to the reporter, the incident occurred in Islamabad due to a dispute over the control of shipping in the Persian Gulf.
"A few minutes ago, a tense situation allegedly arose between Minister Abbas Araqchi and Witkoff, which, due to a serious disagreement over the management of the Strait of Hormuz, almost escalated into a physical fight," Cetin wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
