He stressed that Russia needs a sustainable peace, which can only come if its interests are secured.

"We want a sustainable world. And sustainable peace can come when we secure our interests and achieve the goals that were set from the very beginning," the Russian leader's press secretary said in a conversation with Pavel Zarubin, the author of the Vesti news agency.
