Orban and the head of the Tisa Magyar party voted in the Hungarian elections
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and the head of the opposition Tisa party, Peter Magyar, voted in the parliamentary elections. This was announced on April 12 by the Origo portal.
Orban came to the polling station with his wife Aniko Levai. Before putting the ballots in the ballot box, the couple posed for photographers for a while. The Magyar voted at a polling station in Budapest, which was opened in one of the city's kindergartens.
Polling stations for the parliamentary elections opened in Hungary on the same day. It was noted that about 7.5 million voters will be able to express their will at more than 10,000 polling stations, which are open from 6:00 to 19:00 local time (from 7:00 to 20:00 Moscow time).
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said yesterday that if Orban wins the election, the country will maintain its current political course, including neutrality regarding the Ukrainian conflict, and will also oppose Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU).
On April 10, Orban said in a video message to citizens that opponents of the current government in Hungary want to seize it by any means, trying to challenge the results of the parliamentary elections and discrediting them internationally. He added that the global situation requires unity from Hungarians, and called for avoiding disagreements and hostility within the state.
