Cosmonaut answered the question about the existence of life on Mars
The discovery of water on Mars suggests that some form of life may exist on this planet. This was announced on April 12 by cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Sergey Volkov.
"Is there life on Mars - this is one of the most frequent questions that I am asked at meetings. I usually answer like the hero of a famous movie: "Is there life on Mars, is there life on Mars, science doesn't know yet." But in fact, we know that water has been found there. So there is life in some form, because water is life. Bacteria live there, so we have a reason to fly there," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
It is noted that astronauts are often asked if they have encountered aliens, whether Americans have actually visited the Moon, and why it is customary to watch the film "White Sun of the Desert" before the start of the flight.
Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of Roscosmos, announced on April 11 that a flight to Mars and back at the current level of technology is almost guaranteed to cause radiation sickness in an astronaut. He also noted that Russia plans to test technologies for deep space expeditions on the Moon.
