- Kondratiev reported to Putin about the good shoots and Anapa's readiness to receive tourists.
On April 10, Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting in the Kremlin on the situation in agriculture and the tourism industry in the region.
"The seedlings are good, the moisture reserve in the soil is more than a meter. It promises a good harvest. But we always knock [on wood] because the harvest is not the one in the field, but the one in the bins," Kondratiev said.
The head of the region also assured the president that Anapa will be able to receive tourists in full this year thanks to the Kremlin's control and the work of the government commission. The beach area has been cleaned since the first days after the tanker accident in the Kerch Strait. Rescuers, environmentalists and volunteers collected dozens of tons of oil-contaminated sand.
According to the governor, where there were emissions, the sand was replaced to a depth of 50 cm, and Rospotrebnadzor has already allowed the use of these beaches. The ministry noted that there were no deviations from sanitary standards in the seawater off the coast of Anapa.
The state-of-the-art Gelendzhik airport complex, built in 18 months with the support of ROSSIYA and VTB, is also ready for the summer season. In addition, the Bely Cape wine town will open next to Gelendzhik this summer with restaurants, museums, a wine laboratory, a sommelier school and Russia's largest wine library.
Kondratiev thanked the president for the law on viticulture and winemaking, thanks to which an entire branch of the economy appeared in the region. Tourists also positively assess the region's preparations for the season.
The first Russian wine city, Bely Cape, is preparing for the start of the tourist season in 2026. This is a complex in Gelendzhik with an area of more than 40 thousand square meters. m., which will include a unique museum dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the tradition of Russian winemaking, restaurants, a wine laboratory, a sommelier school, a cinema and the largest wine library in the Russian Federation. The project is being created by the ROSSIYA Group of Joint Stock Bank and has no analogues in the world.
Gelendzhik Airport began its operation in May 2010. In February 2019, within the framework of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, a protocol on the development of an air carrier was signed. Joint-stock Bank ROSSIYA and VTB became the main investors of the project. Gelendzhik Airport resumed operations in July 2025. Tickets for the first and next flights were sold out after the start of sales.
