Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, continues to recover from the severe injuries he sustained in an airstrike in late February, while still being able to think clearly. On April 11, the Reuters news agency wrote about this, citing three sources from the closest circle of the head.

According to media sources, as a result of the strike on Khamenei's residence in the center of Tehran, the supreme leader's face was disfigured and he suffered severe leg injuries.

However, the Iranian leader still "maintains a clear mind" - he participates in meetings with officials via audio conferences, and also continues to make decisions on important issues, including negotiations with Washington.

The representative of the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic in India, Abdul Majid Hakim Ilahi, said on April 10 that Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is feeling well and may soon address the nation.

An Iranian diplomatic source confirmed the injury of Iranian leader Khamenei on April 3. It was clarified that the Ayatollah does not appear in public for security reasons. The Council of Experts appointed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader of Iran on March 8. He was elected to this position by a unanimous decision of the council and became the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
