Sales of the Omoda C5 crossover exceeded 100 thousand in Russia
By the end of March, global sales of the Omoda C5 exceeded the 400,000 mark, and in early April, the 100th anniversary copy was sold in Russia and handed over to the owner. Also, in the first month since the start of sales, more than 2 thousand contracts were signed for the new Jaecoo J6 crossover. This was reported to Izvestia by the joint press service of the two Chinese brands.

The Omoda C5 crossover debuted on the Russian market in 2022. In March 2026, a restyled version of the model went on sale. It is offered in three trim levels and costs from 2.35 million to 2.65 million rubles. The new Jaecoo J6 is also available in three performance levels, with prices ranging from 2.29 million to 2.65 million rubles.
Both crossovers are available with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 hp in conjunction with a six-speed "robot", front-wheel drive only. In terms of dimensions, the C5 is slightly longer than the J6 — 4545 mm versus 4509 mm. The wheelbase of the Omoda model is 2,630 mm— which is 20 mm more than that of the new product from Jaecoo. Both crossovers accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 10 seconds.
Compared to the pre-reform model, the Omoda C5 has increased in size, and the design of the front of the SUV has been completely redesigned. The model received an 8.9-inch digital dashboard screen and a 15.6-inch central media system display (top-end) with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The list of options for the most expensive version includes dual-zone climate control, eight speakers, heated all seats, wireless charging, ventilation of the front seats, an all-round viewing system and a set of assistants, including adaptive cruise control, as well as other options.
The Jaecoo J6 comes with a 13.2-inch multimedia display and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The list of optional equipment is similar to that offered by Omoda C5.
The day before, the domestic Volga car brand introduced the new K40 crossover, the brand's third model after the already announced C50 sedan and K50 crossover. The Volga K40 will be offered with a choice of two combinations of petrol engines and transmissions.: It is a 1.5-liter turbocharged turbo engine with 147 hp, paired with a seven-speed automatic robotic transmission.
