China intends to supply new air defense systems to Iran in the near future. This was reported on April 11 by CNN, citing sources.

"Beijing is preparing to transfer systems representing man—portable air defense systems (MANPADS), which during the five-week war posed an asymmetric threat to low-flying American military aircraft and may reappear in the event of a violation of the ceasefire," the publication says.

At the same time, a representative of the Chinese Embassy in Washington told the TV channel that China, as a responsible major country, consistently fulfills its international obligations. He called on the United States to refrain from baseless accusations, attempts to artificially link events and inflate the situation, expressing the hope that the relevant parties would help reduce tensions.

On April 10, US President Donald Trump announced that the results of the upcoming talks between Washington and Tehran would be clear within 24 hours. At the same time, the head of the White House noted that the American armed forces are already equipping warships with supplies in case negotiations fail.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi clarified that Tehran's negotiations with Washington can only take place on the basis of a 10-point plan, which American representatives called acceptable. The Iranian side, in turn, will start negotiations if Washington accepts all the preliminary conditions, Iranian State Television (IRIB) reports on April 10.

The Wall Street Journal also reported that the United States is building up a military group in the Middle East ahead of talks with Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan.
