One person was killed and six others were injured in a fire in an apartment building in the Moscow region. This was announced on April 11 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"Three people were injured, unfortunately, one died," the ministry noted.

According to rescuers, the fire covered an area of about 70 square meters. m. The fire was extinguished, but rescue work continues on the spot. More than 80 people and 29 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Members of the gas and smoke protection service, as well as car lifts for evacuation from the upper floors, were involved in the rescue of people. In addition, rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 146 people.

It is specified that a temporary accommodation facility was set up on the school grounds, where 27 people applied. There is a minor among the victims.

The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on April 11 that a fire engulfed an apartment building in Mytishchi, 20 people evacuated on their own. It was noted that members of the gas and smoke protection service were involved in the rescue of people, and car lifts were also used to evacuate from the upper floors.
