Differences in body language between humans and pets can lead to disagreements and misunderstandings. Natalia Kolesnikova, a veterinarian and expert at SUPERPET, a natural food manufacturer, told about this on April 11.

"People just want to pet a dog to feel sorry for it, but they get a growl or even bites because it reads it as a threat," the veterinarian explained in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

According to the veterinarian, pets do not take offense at us in our usual way. The main problem is that the sinhalese bodies of humans and animals are different, as a result of which there may be misunderstandings.

Kolesnikova noticed that dogs cannot perceive loud human speech and gestures, which can lead to overexcitation of the nervous system. The veterinarian also mentioned that you should not put your hand over the dog's head, as this means dominance for the pet. Another gesture that is best avoided with a dog is direct eye contact.

"In the animal kingdom, dogs sort things out like that. Whoever turned away first gave up, lost. Therefore, often when people bend over an animal and stare intently into its eyes, they can get aggressive," the veterinarian explained.

The expert called contradictory commands that disorient the pet another common "offense." For this reason, it is important that the whole family adheres to consistent commands and requirements for the pet. Speaking about cats, the veterinarian noted that they are territorial animals.

"In nature, in order to create a safe environment for themselves, cats mark their territory. This is how they show that boundaries are broken and more space is needed. For this, pets often receive punches and screams, which further aggravates the situation," Kolesnikova noted.

The expert added that the owner's attention can also cause misunderstandings between a person and a pet.

"What people often mistake for love for a cat can also be violence for the cat itself. For example, if they pick her up or pet her when she doesn't want to," the veterinarian noted.

Kolesnikova concluded that avoiding contact, ignoring, refusing to eat, and apathy on the part of a pet are often perceived by the owner as resentment, while in most cases such pet reactions indicate an attempt to smooth out the conflict.

On April 9, Elena Frolenko, a veterinarian and expert at SUPERPET natural food manufacturer, reported that cakes and colored eggs can harm pets, as they cause gastrointestinal upset and kidney failure. She clarified that the cake contains several ingredients that are dangerous to the health of pets.
