A fire in a multi-storey building in Mytishchi has been eliminated. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"The fire is completely extinguished. The cause of the fire will be determined by the investigators of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, six people were injured in the incident, including a minor.

A fire in an apartment building in Mytishchi became known earlier that day. 20 people evacuated on their own. Members of the gas and smoke protection service, as well as car lifts for evacuation from the upper floors, were involved in the rescue of people. In addition, rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 146 people. A temporary accommodation facility was set up on the school grounds, where 27 people applied.

According to the ministry, one resident of the house died as a result of the fire. It was clarified that more than 80 people and 29 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
