It became known about the active use of QR code schemes by fraudsters
Fraudsters have become more likely to use schemes of deception using QR codes against the background of increased anti-fraud control in banks. This became known on April 11 from a study of the <url> service.
"Already 18% of Russians have stated that over the past year they have encountered fraud attempts using QR codes," RIA Novosti cites information from the study.
According to the data, fake paper receipts became the most common way to distribute such schemes — they were found in the mailboxes of 44% of respondents. Another 31% have experienced fake notifications via email, and about a quarter have experienced fake notifications via messengers and social networks.
