- In Lebanon, 13 state security officers were killed after an Israeli strike on Nabatiya.
An Israeli strike on a government building in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatiya killed 13 government security personnel. This was announced on April 10 by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
According to the Reuters news agency, in a statement, the head of state condemned the ongoing Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), adding that attacks on government institutions would not prevent Lebanon from defending its sovereignty.
The Lebanese national news agency NNA reports that the city of Nabatiya has been subjected to massive airstrikes, which has become the largest attack since the beginning of the conflict between the United States and Israel and Iran.
"The Israeli air force launched a series of powerful strikes, hitting most neighborhoods and streets, resulting in widespread destruction. Ambulance crews continue to evacuate the wounded to hospitals," the media writes.
According to the president of the German Red Cross (DRK), Hermann Gray, Lebanon is facing a humanitarian catastrophe due to the ongoing Israeli strikes. The humanitarian situation in Lebanon has deteriorated significantly. In recent days, more densely populated areas of the country have been shelled without sufficient early warning to civilians, he said.
On the same day, Press TV reported that the Iranian authorities had postponed a trip to the Pakistani capital several times for talks with the United States in connection with the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. It is noted that pressure from Tehran forced Israel to stop attacks on the Lebanese capital Beirut, however, if the attacks resume, Iran's negotiations on ending the conflict with the United States will be canceled altogether.
