The expert spoke about the rising cost of weddings in Russia

Organizing a wedding in Russia costs an average of 2-6 million rubles, while in times of crisis, events in the range of 2-4 million rubles are most often ordered. Such budgets make it possible to hold a celebration for 30-70 guests, but the cost of key services and contractors has increased significantly in recent years. Daria Veishtort, co-founder of the Event Bureau full-service agency, told Izvestia about this on April 14.

According to the expert, budgets of up to 1 million rubles today are practically not considered realistic for a full-fledged wedding organization through an agency. In such cases, newlyweds are more often advised to contact contractors with package solutions or choose simpler celebration formats, in particular restaurants with ready-made offers.

Veishtort noted that the cost of services in the wedding industry has increased significantly in recent years. According to her estimates, the increase in prices averaged 20-50% compared to previous periods. At the same time, she stressed that the changes affected almost all categories of expenses — from technical support to the work of specialists.

— For 4 million, it used to be possible to make a bright wedding, but now it's just a "normal" one, without star presenters and expensive decor. On average, services and goods have grown by 20-50% compared to previous years. But there are also big jumps in prices: for example, one popular presenter cost 100,000 rubles two years ago, and now it costs 500," she pointed out.
