AvtoVAZ to retro-install ERA-GLONASS on Lada Granta 2021-2022

AvtoVAZ continues its program to retrofit Lada cars with control units for the ERA-GLONASS emergency call system. Starting from April 10, it includes Granta cars produced from September 2021 to April 2022. 41.3 thousand vehicles are subject to retrofitting, the company's press service told Izvestia on April 10.

Dealers' specialists will install the ERA-GLONASS unit on all cars. The work for car owners will be free of charge, they will receive invitations to dealerships by sending notifications. You can independently check whether the car falls under the program by using the VIN code on the Rosstandart website.

"The temporary release of cars without the ERA-GLONASS system was authorized by regulatory documents and regulations due to the difficulties in supplying components to the supplier that arose in 2021," AvtoVAZ recalled.
