Italian designer Stefano Gabbana has resigned as chairman of the board of directors of the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, which he founded with Domenico Dolce. This was reported on April 10 by the British newspaper The Guardian.
The 63-year-old Gabbana resigned at the end of 2025. Since January, Domenico Dolce's brother Alfonso, who is also the CEO of the company, has headed the board of directors.
Dolce & Gabbana said that Gabbana's departure was due to the "natural evolution of the company's organizational structure and management system," and stressed that these changes "have no effect on Stefano Gabbana's creative work."
As reported by Gazeta.Ru" Gabbana is considering various options regarding its stake in the company, which is about 40%. The fashion house has faced difficulties due to the prolonged downturn in the luxury segment and uncertainty due to the war in the Middle East.
On the same day, it became known that the Italian brand Trussardi continues to operate in Russia as normal and plans to further develop its activities in the Russian market. The Trussardi press service explained that T. R. S. Distribution LLC, whose tax statements were published earlier, was a Trussardi distributor in Russia before the change of brand ownership.
