- The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants unsuccessfully tried to destroy a Russian tank for a week.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been trying for a week to destroy a Russian tank found in a closed firing position. To do this, they used about 50 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on April 10 by the deputy commander of the tank battalion of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army with the call sign Maestro.
"During the week, the enemy sent about 30 FPV drones, 15 shock wings and four Baba Yagi to destroy our tank. Thanks to a well—built firing position protection system, the tank withstood all enemy attacks," RIA Novosti quoted the tanker as saying.
He noted that a few months ago, the crew under his leadership carried out tasks to defeat the enemy from a closed position. Due to the high intensity of the fire, the car was found, but it resisted.
When the intensity of the strikes decreased, the crew in full strength and without serious damage to the tank changed position and continues to work on targets.
On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian army had launched five group strikes against military targets in Ukraine in a week. In addition, assembly and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned boats, military airfields, as well as temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries were eliminated.
