An event was held in the capital to bring Holy Fire to the temples of the city. It was attended by Sabina Tsvetkova, adviser to the Deputy Mayor on Transport and Industry, Moscow City Duma deputy, and representatives of the Transport Complex, as well as Hero of Russia Eduard Shonov and Sasha Stone, a blogger, artist, and Russian martial arts champion, the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport said.

"This year, for the first time, I joined the delegation of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation. It is a great honor and a great event for me to be present at the descent of the Holy Fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. And an equally important and exciting event is to deliver and share a piece of this shrine with the temples of Moscow," Tsvetkova said.

Every year, the Holy Fire descends in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on the eve of Easter. This fire is taken out of the temple during the divine service and passed on to the faithful. Millions of Russian believers are watching the event online.

Traditionally, the fire is transported to different countries. Since 2003, the Holy Fire has been delivered from Jerusalem to Moscow by the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation. This year, he arrived on a special flight to the capital on April 11. The delegation was headed by Vladimir Yakunin, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.

Holy Fire lamps are being delivered to Moscow churches. He will also arrive in St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Barnaul, Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yakutsk, Yaroslavl and other cities of Russia.
