The Russian side does not want a temporary truce with Ukraine, it seeks a lasting and sustainable peace. This was announced on April 10 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"As we have repeatedly said and said by President [Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin, we don't want a truce, we want peace. Lasting, sustainable peace," Peskov said at a briefing.
