The PSB talked about the formats of popularization of the space industry

Projects aimed at popularizing the space industry should evoke emotions in the audience and make complex scientific knowledge understandable to them, said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at the PSB, speaking at the Russian Space Forum.

To do this, she continued, businesses need to go beyond conference venues, develop cultural initiatives and generate interest in the industry among young people through cinema, art and social projects. As an example, Podguzova cited the tours of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater to the Vostochny and Baikonur cosmodromes with a literary and musical performance "You Look at the sky and see a Star," which were supported by the PSB.

Thus, Podguzova stressed, now it is necessary to create a trend for space "with a human face", while relying on historical events. "First of all, we must think about our children and broadcast not only the general space theme, but also our global achievements, so that children understand that for our country space is the most important and integral part of its history. Space is now reflected in music, fashion, museum exhibitions, social projects and, of course, in cinema," said the Senior Vice President of the PSB.

According to her, high—quality cinematography is a tool for fostering patriotism. "When a viewer sees recognizable details of the Russian space program on the screen, hears the Russian language on board, and understands that our engineers and cosmonauts are behind the achievements, he feels a natural sense of pride for his country. This will bring young people into the industry, and a new era of technical and scientific inventions will begin," explained Podguzova.

She recalled that the PSB actively cooperates with Roscosmos and its subsidiaries, in particular, with the aim of popularizing space industry projects. The Bank is a partner of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Manned Space Flights" and the Eurasian Aerospace Conference.
