Dmitry Bikbaev took the stage as a special guest at Vlad Sokolovsky's solo concert in Moscow on April 9. Vlad clarified that the mixing of the single has not yet been completed — he is not satisfied with one of the lines. When asked about the theme of the new composition, both artists answered succinctly: all their songs are about love.

The conversation also turned to the distribution of roles within the duo. Dmitry admitted that he does not consider himself either a composer or a lyricist.

"If I was good at it, that's where I would realize my ambitions. It's quite obvious that I'm not a composer or a songwriter, but I can create performances, I can talk to my audience through the theater," Bikbayev explained.

Vlad disagreed with his partner's self-assessment. According to him, Dmitry just shifted his focus towards what brings more pleasure. As an example, he cited the song "Go to Sleep" — it was written by Bikbaev.

The artists also talked about their approach to communicating with fans. According to them, contact with the audience helps to keep the focus on creativity — this is where the real synergy between the group and its listeners is born.

The Encore group officially announced their reunion in March 2026, 17 years after the breakup. The artists talked about this in the podcast "17 moments later", where they discussed the reasons for their return.

The reason for the relaunch was the release of the new single "It's not too Late", written by Sokolovsky. The future of the project, according to the artists, will depend on the reaction of the public.

According to Dmitry, Vlad came to his theater for the premiere a few months ago and showed him a new song. Before listening to the track to the end, Bikbaev already understood what the conversation was going to be about. Sokolovsky himself emphasized that the artists are not going to "frantically write an album on HYPE," but want to act consciously, while continuing solo projects.

About the band

Encore is a Russian pop group created in 2007 by producer Konstantin Meladze at the Star Factory - 7. The name was formed from the first letters of the names of the participants. The very first song "Yours or no One's" immediately hit the music charts, followed by "Katya", "Boats" and other compositions. The group existed from 2007 to 2010, after which the artists separated: Bikbaev took up theater and directing, and Sokolovsky built a solo career.
