It became known about a deliberate attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a cemetery in Donetsk during a funeral service.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deliberately attacked the Southern Cemetery in the Budyonnovsky district of Donetsk at the time of the funeral procession. This was announced on April 9 by Elena, an employee of the ritual facility.

"There was a hearse, there was a personal car, the whole hearse was hit, the windows were broken, the car was also hit by shards. There was an explosion," Elena said.

The agency's interlocutor stressed that the attack occurred at the moment when the funeral service of the deceased was taking place. In her opinion, the Ukrainian military could have seen the service.

"Yes, during the memorial service, the funeral service [there was an attack]. There were a lot of people, a lot of goodbyes. [The Ukrainian Armed Forces] saw that the service was going on, the priest was singing, the censer. The service had just begun, they gathered, and candles were lit. Of course, it was obvious that this was a funeral service," the cemetery employee added in an interview with TASS.
