A group of tourists has disappeared in Kamchatka. What happened
A group of nine tourists who set off on a hike from Pinachevo (Yelizovsky district of the Kamchatka Territory) split up after the conflict — two people took a shorter route, and seven continued the main route. Most of the tourists disappeared, after which rescuers launched a search operation. What is known about the missing tourists is in the Izvestia article.
Circumstances of the disappearance of a group of tourists
The group's disappearance became known on April 9th. The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory, Sergey Lebedev, clarified that on March 28 they set off on a hike from the village of Pinachevo, but on April 3, a conflict broke out between the group members in the Talovsky district. As a result of the quarrel, two people separated from the main group and followed a shortened route, while the other seven tourists continued on their way.
At the same time, only a smaller part of the group had a satellite phone and a tent. They planned to reach the Avacha pass. The route took about two weeks, and the group was scheduled to return on April 10.
