The expert spoke about the way to get a sick leave "retroactively"
Registration of a medical leave "retroactively" is possible only if there is an appropriate decision of the medical commission. This was announced on April 10 by Maria Posadkova, a medical lawyer at the Presidential Academy.
"It is possible to apply for a medical leave retroactively, but this is not a common practice: a medical justification and a decision of the commission are required, and not just the opinion of one doctor," the lawyer explained in an interview with TASS.
According to current regulations, the attending physician does not have the right to issue or renew a document on his own for the past period.
According to the expert, this procedure is used in exceptional cases. For example, if a citizen sought help with a delay or a doctor visited a patient at home, but the person's health status requires confirmation of disability from an earlier date.
On April 4, State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin from the United Russia faction said that starting from July 1, the procedure for calculating sick leave and maternity payments may change in Russia. The Social Fund of Russia (SFR) will be able to make calculations without contacting the employer if the necessary data is available.
