Part of the tour group disappeared in Kamchatka after the participants of the hike split up due to the conflict. This was announced on April 9 by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the region Sergey Lebedev.

"There is a risk that on April 8 they could get into a blizzard, lose their bearings and freeze," he said on the VKontakte social network.

According to him, a group of seven people was left without a tent and means of communication. Tourists went camping on March 28 from the village of Pinachevo. On April 3, an argument broke out between the participants, after which two set off along a shortened route, while the rest continued on their way.

It is specified that the tent and satellite phone remained with the smaller part of the group, which is now located at the Semenovsky cordon. Seven people stopped contacting after April 7, the last time they were seen at a waterfall on the Shumnaya River.

The authorities are considering the possibility of involving rescuers. According to preliminary data, the search is planned to be conducted with the participation of specialized groups on snowmobiles.

On March 22, the head of LizaAlert, Grigory Sergeev, against the background of the story of the missing Usoltsev family, announced the need to change legislation to search for missing people on mobile phones. According to him, the current regulations do not allow volunteers to use one of the key search tools — mobile device data.
