The meeting between US President Donald Trump and the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) Mark Rutte contained nothing but insults. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on April 9, citing an informed source.

"Trump's meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House on Wednesday 'went badly,'" the source said.

He described the meeting as "nothing more than a torrent of insults."
