On April 9, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for expanding the borders of the Jewish state at the expense of Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
"There will be a political step in Gaza that will expand our borders, there will be a decisive political step in Lebanon that will expand our borders to the Litani River, and there will be a decisive political step in Syria, at least [with the annexation of territories to] the top of Mount Hermon," Ynet quoted him as saying.
