Ak Bars Kazan defeated Dinamo Minsk in the first match of the quarter-final playoff series of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The meeting, which took place in Minsk on April 9, ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the guests.

The game was attended by 15,086 spectators in the stands. Alexey Pustozerov scored a double for the winners, scoring goals in the 26th and 58th minutes. Vadim Moroz scored the only goal for Minsk in the 59th minute of the match.

Thanks to this, Ak Bars led the series to four wins with a score of 1-0. The next confrontation of the teams will also be hosted by Minsk, the game is scheduled for April 11.

According to the results of the regular season, Dynamo took the second place in the Western Conference table, and Ak Bars took the third place in the East.
