On April 9, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed Mikhail Ordu as ambassador to Mongolia, in addition, Alexander Terekhov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister to address issues in the field of construction, transport and housing and communal services, and Marat Markov became Minister of Culture.

"As for Mongolia, it was amazing to me that you agreed to go there. But I was told that you are almost Mongolian - you know Mongolia well and are ready to work and give results. We have excellent relations with the leadership of Mongolia. The president there is down—to-earth, good, sensible," the BelTA news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.

In addition, the head of state noted that several candidates were considered for the post of deputy prime minister, but Terekhov was chosen because he "tried a lot." One of the primary tasks of the new deputy head of government will be the repair and construction of roads. According to Lukashenko, in order to carry out these works promptly, it is necessary to take advantage of Russia's discount on oil.

The Ministry of Culture was headed by Marat Markov, who previously served as Minister of Information. The Belarusian leader stressed that Markov has experience working in government departments, but in his new position his position will become "more serious and responsible."

On March 22, Lukashenko appointed Vladislav Tatarinovich as the new Minister of Finance of the republic. He noted that Tatarinovich's candidacy was recommended by the previous Finance Minister, Yuri Seliverstov. It is specified that the new head of the Ministry of Finance previously held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic and has many years of experience in the financial department.
