The crew of a tank of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a mortar position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone

A tank crew under the command of Guard Sergeant Darik Akhmetyanov destroyed a mortar position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation. This was announced on April 10 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Arriving at a pre-prepared firing position, Darik, having shown high tactical training, gave the crew instructions for firing a tank gun at enemy targets.

The high accuracy of the defeat was ensured by the correction of fire by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The crew fired five targeted shots from a tank cannon, as a result of which the target and more than 10 Ukrainian militants were eliminated. After the successful completion of the guard's task, Sergeant Akhmetyanov ordered the crew to return to the initial area.

In addition, the ministry noted the actions of the guard of junior Sergeant Yuri Vargin, who was able to deliver food to the positions of the electronic warfare company, despite the damage to equipment due to the attack of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle.

During the delivery on motorcycles, a Baba Yaga-type drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces began the pursuit. Vargin, assessing the threat to further progress in the open area, decided to take refuge in a wooded area.

The enemy dropped ammunition from the UAV and damaged the motorcycles. The junior sergeant of the Guard, despite the difficult situation, the threat of a repeat attack and the impossibility of timely delivery of food, showed initiative, endurance and confidence.

Using the terrain, he led the group and continued moving towards the company's positions on foot. The food was delivered on time. After completing the task, the group successfully returned to the original area.

Thanks to the composure and professionalism of the junior sergeant of the Guard, the assigned combat task was completed. The timely delivery of food made it possible to ensure continuous combat duty by the personnel of the electronic warfare company.
