The work of the network of NATO biolabs around the world is conducted in an opaque manner and in violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of biological Weapons. This was announced on April 9 by Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

"As you know, Western countries, primarily NATO, and especially the United States, have been actively engaged in biological activities around the world for more than 30 years. They have formed a network of more than 300 medical laboratories almost all over the world: in Asia, Africa, and Europe, and the work there is completely opaque, in fact, in violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Bacteriological and Toxin Weapons," he said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
