Natalia Povetkina, a resident of the Kherson region, was sentenced to 12 years in a penal colony in a case of espionage in favor of Ukraine. This was announced on April 9 by the regional prosecutor's office.

"The Kherson Regional Court has handed down a verdict in a criminal case against Natalia Povetkina, a 55-year-old local resident. She was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason")," the agency's Telegram channel says.
