The Iranian Embassy in South Africa has offered US President Donald Trump to buy a dog leash for Israel, calling the state a "rabid dog." The Iranian diplomatic mission published a corresponding message on April 9 on its page on the social network X (ex. Twitter)/

"Hey, Trump, if you don't have a leash for a rabid Israeli dog, maybe we should buy you one?" — the message says.

Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said on the same day that Israeli strikes on Lebanon violated the ceasefire agreement. He called it a dangerous sign of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements.

Despite the violation of the truce, the mediators are preparing for talks in Pakistan on April 11.
